Birthplace: Buenos Aires, Argentina
Hometown: Aviemore
'I wanted to come to the UK and applied for a job. I could have ended up anywhere but I arrived in the Highlands. I ve been here since 2016. I grew up and lived most of my life in the big city, so a small town like Aviemore is very different.
Been finishing work quite late at nights recently, by the time I get out and walk home there’s nobody else through the main road. Anyway, it made me think how amazing and fortunate it is not having to look over your shoulder ever walking down the road. I grew up having to do that every time. Kind of in constant alert, cause you never know. It’s fucking shite, but you get used to it and just get on with your life. Since I moved here 5 years ago I haven’t had that feeling once. And if you lived here your whole life maybe you never experienced it, lucky you.
I love walking from my house to the shops and knowing a lot of people on the way. I feel I'm a lot more confident now in who I am and what I want from my future than when I first moved.'
